Academic Discovery - After School Program

Academic Discovery is a daily after-school program for children between 6-12 years of age. It’s a valuable program for your child and a fun place conveniently located in our community to serve busy families and commuters.

We create a suitable environment for children to enhance their academic levels while enjoying group leisure activities in after school. All our staff have excellent academic background and are experienced on tutoring element students.

The results from our programs are good learning skills and habits, self-discipline, self-confidence on academic works, improved test scores, discovered interests, and more.

Why Select Our After School Program

Our after school program offers year-around activities to promote academic enrichment. We have certified teachers working in the program. We provide not only a safe and caring environment but also for the students to learn and grow during after school time.

Our homework routine will ensure the students to finish their school homework under the supervision from our qualified staff, so the students (and parents) will not have to worry about homework when they are back home.

Our "Smart Math & English" program will significantly improve the students learning habit and academic level. The students will have a regular time to do the academic works on daily basis. For the students from French Immersion schools, our English program provides a great help to lift their English level both on reading and writing.

In our weekly chess program, the students will learn various chess strategic skills during after school time. It's a valuable fun program led by professional chess instructor.

We help your child on good learning habits and independent thinking ability!

In our after school program, we also arrange the students to have outdoor activities in community facility after finishing their academic works. We believe it is beneficial to let students have some physical activities during after school time. In winter, we have sports activities in gym.

We welcome parents visit us to discuss about your child needs and your expectations. We believe our program will help your child to build up good academic habits which will benefit their entire life.

Rouge Woods Community Center 110 Shirley Drive Richmond Hill, ON L4S 1Y9 (Major MacKenzie & Shirley) Map Location	This location serves the students from the following schools. 1. Silver Stream Public School 2. Michaelle Jean Public School (French) 3. Beverley Acres Public School (French) 4. Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Elementary School 5. Crosby Heights Public School

Transportation

Our staff will pick up the students from the schools or school bus stop at Langstaff and Rouge Woods Community Center.

PA Day

PA Day service will be provided at one of the above community centers for the students in both locations. The program time is 7:30AM-6:00PM.
